My Story

Monika Burzykowska, MA, is a Dramatherapist and Family Support Worker with a creative and compassionate approach to healing.

Monika is a Dramatherapist who has transformed her personal experiences of abandonment, rejection, and neglect into her professional practice. Having navigated challenges such as body shaming, infertility, and migration on her own, she found her path to healing through Dramatherapy.

Dramatherapy became her "way out," and she now uses this creative therapeutic approach to help others find their own ways to cope and heal.

She works with children, adolescents, and families, providing a safe and empowering space for individuals to grow.

Monika offers sessions in both Polish and English, and is deeply committed to supporting migrants, asylum seekers, and other minority groups.

Her work is holistic, honoring the connection between somatic (body) and psychological processes. She uses creative methods to help clients express and process difficult experiences, and believes in the value of nature as a therapeutic tool.

Areas of support:

Trauma (early childhood, multigenerational, and cultural)

Abuse and Neglect (domestic, sexual, physical, emotional)

Family Dynamics (attachment issues, family relations, adoption and foster care)

Life Challenges (school bullying, migration, asylum seeking)

Monika's therapeutic approach is holistic and empowering. She believes in the powerful link between our minds and bodies, and uses creative and nature-based methods to facilitate healing.

Monika works with deep respect for her clients' personal beliefs and values, and strives to help them discover their inherent worth and resilience.

"Your body knows it all."

My Mission

My mission is to bring the emotionally balanced life back to our daily routine. The history of human species has shown that people tend to fail in keeping the life in balance, which causes mental, emotional and physical meltdowns. They would use superior power for their own benefits, which subsequently leads to maltreatment, health issues and life imbalance.

My life story has also uncovered what power of imbalance can lead to. From a very creative and vivid individual I initially had been, I then became a suffocated, invisible entity with no resources to create my life with joy, good health and balance. Dramatherapy has helped me to reach out for my potential and use it for further life experience.

Therefore, my mission is to recreate the life balance by accessing the process of self-healing, power of creative expression and by creating community of supportive and compassionate wounded healers. We are all wounded, but we can heal.

I particularly devote my work to women in their journey to self-healing, self-loving and self-discovery.

I strongly believe that by looking after women’s wellbeing, we will bring back the balance to our wounded Mother Earth
